The Merida MISSION CX 5000 bike is designed for cyclocross racing. The road geometry of the carbon frame, mud rubber and mountain calculation of the transmission – all this will ensure confidence in victory.
The bicycle is made in five sprouts and will be suitable for cyclists with a height of 160 to 195 cm.
The frame is made of carbon fiber. Its composition includes nanoparticles that increase the strength of the carbon frame by up to 40% (Nano Matrix Carbon). The geometry of the bike is generally road, it differs only in a larger wheelbase, which is achieved by elongated rear springs. This gives the bike great directional stability on intense descents. The conical steering cup provides great torsional stiffness and will provide excellent controllability even in extreme conditions and loads. The internal routing of the cables will protect them both from dirt and damage, and carrying the bike, which happens more than once per race on the cyclocross track, will be more convenient when there are no shirts and cables sticking out of the frame. A removable bridge (Removable F-Mount) is located on the upper rear feathers, it gives the feathers great rigidity, but it can be removed to increase the mud gaps.
The fork on the bicycle is carbon. It is made using the same technology as the frame, so it is light and strong. A special feature of the MISSION CX 5000 fork is its geometry: the legs of the fork have a teardrop profile and reduce air resistance when moving. The wheel in the fork is fixed with a 12 mm axle.
The bike’s wheels are durable enough to withstand all the troubles that befall a cyclocross bike. They are assembled on double Expert CC aluminum rims and VP bushings on bulk bearings. The rear hub has an increased inter-flange distance (148 mm compared to the standard 130 mm), which provides the wheel with increased strength. The wheels are fixed in the frame and the fork with 12 mm axles. This type of fastening provides excellent strength and reliability of the connection. The wheels are shod in light folding rubber with a developed Maxxis All Terrane tread, which holds the ground well and has a high degree of self-cleaning. Also, this tire can be used tubeless, which we recommend you do immediately after buying a bicycle.
The transmission for the five-thousandth is presented by the American-made Sram Apex 1 sports group. It has 11 speeds and consists of a single Sram Apex1 crankset with a 40-tooth sprocket and an 11-speed Sram PG-1130 cassette with a ratio of 11 to 42 sprockets teeth The shifters have comfortable ergonomics inherited from older groups. Speeds are switched clearly, and for difficult routes there is a lock on the switch that ensures its fixation, to neutralize chain beating.
Brakes the bike with Sram Apex1 HRD hydraulic disc brakes. This is a reliable hydraulic system with high-quality heat dissipation and modulation. Will provide speed control on any track.
The Merida MISSION CX 5000 cyclocross bike is a carbon bolide that was born for speed and drive. Assembled on a carbon frame and equipped with quality components, it will ensure primacy in any race.
